Licence obtained for Pirates new home
Kerrier District Council have granted a flexible new Premises Licence for the Recreation Ground at Camborne following an application by GE Licensing Solutions.
The ground, which will be shared by National League 1 side the Cornish Pirates and Camborne RFC, is now licensed to enable match day service of alcohol and provision of entertainment. In addition, it can be used for other activities and there will be enhanced licensed facilities at the clubhouse.
Although no guarantee that the Pirates will finish higher than their creditable third behind Harlequins and Bedford in the 2005 / 2006 season, the new licence will ensure that supporters and visitors are able to enjoy top quality facilities.
Phil Westren, the Pirates’ Media Liaison Manager said: “Many thanks are due to the team at GE Licensing Solutions for obtaining this new licence”
Details of the Pirates’ fixtures and other information about the team can be viewed on their website www.cornish-pirates.com

GE Licensing Solutions secures The Isles of Scilly's first seafaring licence!
Proving again that GE Licensing is always on top of new legislation, we are proud to announce that we have secured a premises licence for The Isles of Scilly's most famous ship, The Scillonian. Previously exempt from licensing regulations, ships now require licences in order for alcohol to be served on board. GE Licensing was pleased to help and we can now reassure all passengers that they will be able to enjoy a legal tipple as they sail between the The Isles of Scilly and the mainland.
